Mechanism of Action: Potent antioxidant to a metal chelator to a medicator of cell signaling pathways.

Indication:

• Diabetic neuropathy
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Prevention of Vitamin D deficiency
• Glaucoma and Cataracts
• Aging (improving blood flow)

Dosage & Administration: 300-600 daily For treating type 2 diabetes and improving symptoms such as burning, pain, and numbness in the legs and arms: 600 or 1200 mg daily. It should be taken with food

• Sweating
• Headache
• Insomnia

Contraindication & Precaution:

Hypersensitivity to Alpha Lipoic Acid

In addition, Alpha Lipoic Acid should not be used if you have the following conditions:

• Kidney or Liver problems 
• Low blood sugar
• Thyroid disorder

Drug Interaction: Use of other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Alpha Lipoic Acid may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause not to work properly

• Diabetes: Alpha-lipoic acid can decrease blood sugar levels. Diabetes medications might need to be adjusted
• Thyroid disease: Taking alpha-lipoic acid might interfere with treatments for under-active or over-active thyroid
• Use in Pregnancy: Not enough is known about the use of alpha-lipoic acid during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
• Storage : Keep out of reach of children. Store it in cool & dark place.
